New York Eve at McQ Ridge Ranch: Yee-Haw
Out of the blue, I get a call from Roz asking what I was doing for NYE. Honestly, my plans were to make a nice dinner for the kids and watch the fireworks from the rooftop at midnight. She told me: "come to Nashville, so I can introduce you to Bryan."
And so we all went to the airport to go to the McQ Ridge Ranch.
At first, I was scared because I was afraid one of the kids would get lost or eaten by a bear (I blame Bryan because he told me there were bears, in plural, and very big ones). But the truth is, it was the best plan for all of us to spend a New Year's Eve the way we deserve, with people who love us. It was a treat for the soul. And I will be eternally grateful for that.
We even had a surprise planned for Roz!. At 12, Bryan proposed to her, and it was so romantic awwwww. I'm a hopeless romantic. I still believe in true love, it's just been a while since I met the right person. I need to give myself time to heal and prioritize myself for once.
We ended up singing Vampire in the middle of the night, screaming at the top of our lungs ...
