Today our studio welcomes the duo who rule the stage and share a life together: Roxie and Rhys Poët from Midnight Vine, announcing their new tour!
You’re not just bandmates, you’re married. How do you balance the band and the relationship? What’s the key to making it work on and off stage?
Rhys: Honestly, it’s about having clear boundaries. In rehearsals, studio, or on stage, we’re there as artists. The focus is Midnight Vine. When work ends, the switch flips—we’re partners, and we make sure to have time together without talking about setlists or deadlines. Communication and respecting those separate roles are crucial.Roxie: And a lot of humor and companionship, otherwise we’d go crazy. The admiration we have for each other is what drives everything.And the kids? How do you handle being away and making time for them?
Rhys: That’s the hardest part. We have an amazing support network. When we’re with them, it’s full-focus time.Roxie: On the road, we call them every day and bring them along on calmer dates. We want them to feel part of our journey, not an obstacle to it.How does the creative process work?
Rhys: My inspiration comes from my hobbies and the atmospheres around me. I build the mood of the song before the lyrics. Roxie is the opposite—anything becomes art for her: a lost conversation or a glance at the airport. I bring structure, she brings emotional pulse. Midnight Vine exists where those two forces meet.What are your expectations for the tour?
Roxie: A show to feel and live. Light, strength, and freedom. The tour is about finding your voice in the chaos and taking it into the world.
