Love isn't planned — it appears like a beacon in the middle of the storm, unexpected and necessary. Finding you again was like recognising a piece of myself that had been lost among ruins and faded memories. Even when the world crumbled around us, your gaze remained intact, a silent promise that there was still something worth fighting for.
There are no grand vows, no theatrical gestures, no vulgarity.
The return wasn’t easy. The roads were infested, the skies grey, and every step towards you seemed to defy the laws of fate. But something pulled us — maybe it was that lone star shining every night above the roof where we vowed to survive together. It was our north, our sign that even in times of the undead, the living could still dream.
And so, we hunted zombies side by side, not out of courage, but out of love. Every shot fired, every trap set, every dawn watched over — it’s all done with the certainty that as long as we’re together, the apocalypse will never be the end.
