A Girl Pursuing Her Dreams

A person must pursue their dreams. Those who don't will be chased by regret. Perhaps Haruko wasn't very mature yet, but from the moment she saw a model in a magazine, posing all grand and pretty with beautiful clothes on, she knew she wanted to pursue exactly that.

Haru and Alayna didn't yet call each other mother and daughter. Everything was very new for both of them, and they hadn't even sat down to talk. The only thing Aly knew about the girl, her girl, was that she wanted to be a model. Haru was very explicit about it and often stole her mother's clothes to play in front of the mirror. She would take her phone and take pictures all day or eagerly watch makeup or outfit tutorials. None of this went unnoticed by Aly.

Haru was playing with Aly's phone once again. It was already past noon, and she was watching a bunch of reels where girls her age were wearing oversized clothes. She didn't quite like it. Haru took advantage of Alayna being out, suspiciously without her, and rummaged through the clothes they had bought a few days ago. Haru spent a long time trying on combinations, colors, and different garments... until she found something she liked. She looked at herself proudly in the mirror, so fascinated that she didn't even notice her mother had returned.

A flash took the girl by surprise. Alayna had a new phone in her hands. One... that she offered to Haru.

-It has an excellent camera. And if you get good grades, we'll talk about social media. Enjoy it. I love you.

Haru hugged her tightly and let out a sharp cry of joy. It was time to chase her dreams!
