When brain cells go on maternity leave (I)
The day Greta accidentally ruined the Big Bang concert and their grand album release party was the same day she realized she was pregnant.
While other women might discover their pregnancy with a test, unusual cravings, mood swings, or a growing belly, Greta dismissed all these signs. After all, stress and other factors could easily disrupt her body, and pregnancy tests could be wrong too. Mood swings? Nothing new, especially before big competitions when excitement, fear, stress, and joy all collide. Sudden cravings for specific foods? Totally normal - like now, she was dreaming of kimchi and ramen. And a less flat stomach? That happened every time she overindulged in dumplings or other heavy dishes.
But forgetting crucial details that could set her band back years? Now that was a clear pregnancy symptom. Whenever Greta was pregnant, it felt like the baby inside her was feeding off her brain cells. She wouldn't just forget the little things - she'd forget critical responsibilities, causing chaos to erupt around her.
This time was no different.
Greta thought she and her team had prepared for the album launch down to the smallest detail. The songs were recorded flawlessly, the perfect cover was designed, enough copies were ordered, and most importantly - a grand release party was planned to outshine all others. The party was supposed to be the cherry on top - a way to thrill the fans before their Big Bang performance, hand out fresh copies of the album, and promote songs set to skyrocket in popularity afterward.
But while sitting on a private jet, rushing with her band to Rio de Janeiro, Greta got that dreaded call.
