Where have you been hiding all this time?

Sometimes I catch myself asking the same question over and over again: Where were you before you appeared in my life?
And I don’t mean it as a complaint, but with the fascination of someone who discovers a late, arriving miracle, one that still arrives perfectly.

Because now I see the world with different eyes.
Or maybe, just maybe, I’m finally seeing with the right ones.
With this version of myself that had been asleep, waiting for the exact moment when you would come knock on the door of my soul.

You’ve planted your presence in me with a gentleness I still don’t fully understand.
And since then, there’s no way for me to think about anything other than this “us” that builds itself day by day, as if we had both been lost somewhere on the map and only now found our way back.

Seeing your face every day has become a kind of silent ritual.
Watching you smile, noticing that glow that appears in your eyes when you’re happy, feeling that your happiness reaches me too…
all of that reminds me why life is worth moving forward.

It moves me to see you moved, to discover that things I never imagined would affect me now touch me deeply
simply because they touch you.
And it’s then that I understand that what we have is held together even by the smallest things: the short steps, the simple conversations, the tiny victories that, without realizing it, have helped us “travel long distances.”



Because yes, sometimes I wonder where you had been all this time.
But the truth is… it no longer matters.
The only thing that’s certain is that you’re here now, and what we’re building is worth every question, every doubt, every step we take forward, together.
