**Valentina Sexton is Dead, Long Live Me—Yasmin Bryant**
In the final days, Valentina was weary. Life had lost its spark. She had made her peace with the world and walked willingly into a place where endings are tender and decisions can be made with clarity. It was there that she chose me—her successor.
I am not Valentina. I carry her memory, but I’ve shed her weight. I won’t rekindle old flames or entertain past entanglements, no matter how romantic—or imagined—they once seemed. With one exception: two trusted souls remain by my side. No names are necessary. They know who they are.
