What keeps me alive, what's my core like?
Even when it hurts like hell sometimes, yea.
It’s like deep inside you; stubborn, quiet, bulletproof, always hanging around even when the world feels like falling apart. It’s my essence. A hope that keeps going, no matter what.
I was struggling. Everything seemed to aim at my hope, striving to see it fade away. I was content, at least I told myself so. Life was simple, routine, no room for anything unexpected..certainly not for someone like my fiancé. He came in like a silent storm, shaking things up in a way I didn’t even know I needed. Honestly? I almost ran the other way more than once. But somehow, we ended up here: planning a wedding party, searching for 'cool' baby names, laughing at the joy of it all.
It feels like we’re non-stop running from one mess to the next. My bank heists, his concerts, our dates or paths to explore, late-night flights, pillow talks.. Love doesn’t always make sense, yet it’s always worth the trouble.
There’s a part of me that wants to tell you to 'give up on love when it feels like it’s just too much'. I’ve been there. The truth is, it’s in those messy, thorny moments where love shows its geniune value. Not perfect, NOT AT ALL, but it’s loyal to those who deserve.
When a heart is ready to open up for you, if you have that smallest sparkle, let it in. You’ll be glad you didn’t let go.
