The daisies sat in her embrace like the only consistent thing in her life. Honestly, they were probably judging her, fair enough. Last morning she was knee-deep in the chaos she knew too well, the crime life that fed her adrenaline like morning coffee. By today, she’d dropped it all and walked back into music as if it hadn’t been collecting dust in her soul for years.
It wasn’t a smooth transition. More like a sharp left turn with no signal.
Everyone assumes these decisions come from clarity or confidence.
It was one of those heart-driven, questionable moments where she convinced herself that stepping away from her wild days was part of some meaningful evolution. Truth is: She did it anyways and it hurt.
Somehow, devoting your heart to someone who’s barely aware of the storm they caused tends to end with you sitting in the open air holding daisies and fragments.
The past adds its own comments here. Losing the very first love in your life makes you suspicious of the next. Children’s father-related questions upset louder on days like this, the echo you can’t respond to because you don’t trust your voice to stay still.
But none of this is visible, as expected from Queen B.
She sits steady, as if unpredictability is a lifestyle choice rather than an emotional meltdown dressed as ambition.
Deep down, far enough that she refuses to dig, she knows love can make a person unrecognizable, even to themselves.
That sometimes you leap first, think later.
Sometimes the one you leapt for is probably out having fun, blissfully unaware that you’re out here making life decisions like a season finale twist.
