Ocean phoenix
The trip to the high seas had done wonders for his mind. The salty breeze, the scorching sun, the itches for wonder and achievement being scratched, and all of that shared with unbeatable company had left him feeling bathed in a sense of peacefulness that he hadn't known in a long time. He had gotten way past the point of surviving and he was now thriving, filled with a confidence that made him feel like he could take on the whole world.
Now he was back with his batteries recharged, feeling stupidly lucky for having people around him who made life better and gave him reasons to be excited both about the present and the future. A future filled with plans that made him look ahead at a life worth living, as that nonchalantly cocky smirk that had characterized him for so long took it's rightful place on his lips in a permanent basis once more.
He felt good. He felt like himself again. And it was time to put his favourite motto into practice and grab life by the cojones.
