"Sir? Sir! You started wanderinng off again!"
Cato blinked. The distinct voice of his butler called him to his senses. "What did you say?" He turned his head, rubbed his eyes and acknowledged that he was standing in an empty bar, filled with the smell of cold cigarettes, spilled drinks and sweat. It was apparently early morning and the cleaning crew had already stopped taking care of this venue a long time ago. Trash rustled as a few rats carried some left over pizza home to their hole.
Bert was standing right next to Cato and had this worried look on his face.
"You were starting to wander off again.", he repeated and raised his eyebrows. Cato had a dim memory that he had been waking up in strange places the past weeks. Ever again trying to focus on staying awake, but apparently failing.
"Yes. It would seem so, Bert. My apologies.", Cato stated and sighed, running his fingers through his hair.
"Asuna.", he thought. "How was she doing?", he took out his phone and gave her a call and arranged to see her within the same hour.
