Now live: Pumkin Park

Hey everyone,

this is Thomas Cook-Waterhouse – pro athlete, adventurer and passionate musician, and now officially frontman of a modern rock band.

I’ve just kicked off my first small tour with my band Pumkin Park. The clubs are small, the stages far from perfect, but to me it feels huge. For the first time I’m not on a sports field – I’m up front with an electric guitar in my hands, doing lead vocals.

Joining me is my brother Jamie Baker Prefec, most of you know him as JBP. He’s on the turntables, mixing beats, scratching and gluing together everything we throw at you on stage. Without him, Pumkin Park would be only half as powerful.

Our sound is a mix of everything we love: hip hop, metal and melodic rock. We’re inspired by bands like Linkin Park, but we’re telling our own stories. A lot of our songs are about my travels and adventures: nights in the middle of nowhere, close calls, broken bones, and the people I’ve met along the way who changed me.

For me, music is just another kind of adventure. Instead of climbing mountains or discovering new cities, we’re now chasing emotions through loudspeakers. I hope you can feel that when you hear our songs – live in the crowd or one day coming out of your speakers at home.

I’m nervous, but incredibly grateful to walk this new path. If you’re up for it, come to a show, shout with us, sing with us, feel with us.
