Hello from Los Angeles, under a restless 🎃 Halloween sky…

Tonight feels very different. A friend once told me I should wear high heels and a trench coat. So here I am, taking her advice, standing on a balcony with a bottle of champagne in hand, watching the city lights flicker like a thousand jack o’ lanterns scattered across the hills.

Halloween has always been about masks and pretending to be someone else for a night. But this year I feel the weight of the disguise more than ever. The laughter in the streets below drifts upward but it doesn't quite reach me. There's a strange beauty in the loneliness of it all. The kind of beauty that makes you want to raise a glass to ghosts, both the ones that haunt you and the ones you miss.

I sip, I watch, I wonder. Tonight's a reminder that shadows exist because light does too. And sometimes the shadows are where we find the truth we've been avoiding.
