It was a dreary morning in Berlin but the gray skies couldn't dampen Liv's mood. She had been to more festivals than she could count. But, of all the festivals she'd been to, the last had been her favorite. She would always love the festival a little more simply for Madrid. That trip had been exactly the kickstart her marriage had direly needed. She had missed the final day of shows, but they had rekindled something much more important.

That year they'd spent an unforgettable Christmas in Paris. It had been years since, but the dying ember that trip to the city of light had ignited was still burning brightly.

There was nothing so serious this festival. No marriage on the brink of failure. No waves to rock her, or threaten to overtake her. Still, she hoped he could make it in time. She was too short for all these crowds. What was the point of being married if she couldn't sit on her husband's shoulders to get a better view?
