the show must go on

For many years, Liv kept her distance. Opening herself up to feelings happened slowly. It was much easier not to feel things, not care, or have no emotional responsibility. She had been trying to do things differently, and even while trying, she had failed a few times. She was the one that broke off a relationship with a girl who liked her; she was the one who told a girl she was seeing she had feelings for someone else - and in the end, that didn't work either, but at least this time she didn't screw it up, they just decided to stay friends. It was not an easy decision, no, and it hurt Liv to acknowledge it was better off this way.

And now... She was sick of it all. Her comfort zone suddenly got too small, and she wanted out. She wanted more; she wanted to be more than the reckless girl who had no emotional responsibility, no one to love, and did nothing to deserve the money she had. She wanted to be just as awesome as her mothers, sisters, and brothers.

She was too scared to fail all her life, so she didn't try. She wouldn't have this anymore. She'd give her everything, and she’d make it work. And if there was one thing she knew a lot about, it was art. In all of its forms. She had talked with a person or two about it in the past, and they all encouraged her. It was time to give it a try.

Liv grabbed her phone and called her mother. “Ma?” She asked, then she heard Taylor’s voice on the other side. “I have a business idea, and I wanna get your advice. Can I meet you at the restaurant in a few?”
