The end of the year showed up faster than I was ready for. I wouldn’t say I’m proud of my achievements this year. There were weeks where I drifted… not exactly stuck, but not really pushing forward either. Just floating between comfort and half-planned risks that didn’t always lead anywhere. There were moments where I thought I was building momentum, and others where I stayed in bed too long, scrolling through nothing on an old laptop that barely holds a charge. If lying in bed paid rent, I’d be set for life. 😅
I never got around to writing about the festival. It was kind of a big deal for me, even if I played it off like it wasn’t. The crowd was chaotic, like no one had ever heard of personal space, but I’m glad I went. It was loud, messy, overpriced… real. For a few hours I wasn’t just watching everyone else live. I brought home a couple little things that probably mean nothing to anyone else, but they made it feel like I had proof I was actually there.Show spoiler
Now that there are only a couple days left in the year, my head keeps bouncing between the past and whatever’s next. Even if most of this year slipped through my hands, I’ve got this quiet hope that next year might move differently. Maybe not perfect, but better. Even slightly better would be enough. I’d rather fall into something unpredictable than keep playing it safe and wondering if I missed it.
I’m not gonna say I’ll change everything overnight. But I want to show up more. Even if it’s quiet. So yeah… if you’re reading this, I hope the new year brings you something real. Even if it’s weird or slow or messy, I hope it wakes you up a little. That’s what I want too. .x. D
