001 | Christmas

He had found his way to an alley and a hidden pub. A few hours ago he had left his family after a huge dinner and now, a few minutes ago he had said good night to his friends. They were going to a night club but Darius was not in the mood for loud music and dancing.

The pub was nearly empty, most people were with their families on a night like this. He could be with his too, they would love it for him to rejoin them. Alas, he was not in the mood for it. While everyone else was apples, he was a pineapple. He did not fit in with them, but yet he was from the same box.

Only Daphne knew about it. Knew his struggle. Knew about how he struggled to accept… accept so many things about himself. She said no one around them would care or love him less and he knew she was right. He knew that his mother was hovering around him because she knew something was wrong.

“Hello!” A good looking guy sat down next to him. Presented himself as Deniz. Darius introduced himself and they shook hands with each other. “Why are handsome guy like you sitting in a pub alone on christmas?”

At first he was going to lie, but he changed his mind. This Deniz and he would probably never meet again, why lie? Why lie when the truth wouldn’t hurt him for a second? “Because my family doesn't know I’m gay and here I can sit for a minute and not hide anything.”
