Album Notes
Dear Listener,
Storms, my third album, is one that I’m quite proud of but also fiercely protective of as I release it into the wild. The name of this album in part explains this very notion. It’s an album that explores a “stormy” part of my life from difficult situations from those I’m closest too, moments that make you retrace scars, to falling in love in the middle of it all making another different kind of storm of its own and being scared of being swept away.
I write this note at a very different time than many of these songs were written. Storms can be terrifying. They can be beautiful. You never know what you’ll find in the aftermath. Sometimes some things may stay destroyed and others you can find yourself and community as they are rebuilt. And I hope for all those listening, the beauty will overway the destruction in the storms you face.
As some final notes, thank you to my label for trusting me to put this out and to my family and friends who have supported me through the process. Thank you to my boyfriend, who this album wouldn’t be what it is without.
And thank you to you the listener and my fans new and old, I can’t believe we’re here on album #3.
