Ballet has always seemed like a safe haven to me. It's nice, in a way, to hear people say I look delicate when I dance. But they don't know how hard I try to be this 'light'.
Some days my body feels like a stranger I'm trying to make peace with. Some days it obeys me. Most days it doesn't even listen to me.
