Soundtrack of the week
ꜱᴡɪᴍᴡᴇᴀʀ ʙʏ ᴇʀᴏɴʏ
When I need to recharge, I go to the sea. And lately, I’ve needed a lot of recharging. Two shows in 24 hours, moving from city to city… I can admit now, the excitement is wearing off and it’s becoming exhausting. We almost missed the deadline to submit our single. And the craziest part? The festival qualifiers are already next week.
Even though we released our new album, I keep going back and listening to our first one, Life lessons. Most of the songs were named after popular Lithuanian sayings, describing rules or lessons we learn along the way. And I’ve felt especially drawn to Nothing comes free in life.
It’s a classic. Well, an electronica classic. I think it resonates with me now because I understand what it means: giving so much energy to the stage takes away my ability to just travel to random cities, visit friends, go to parties. And, Kobe, I miss a good night out…
For now, I think I need to take my notebook to the beach and turn all of this into inspiration for new songs.
