Che-ribi-bong-skeng
After returning from a long adventure across the seven seas, I finally set foot on the mainland again. That journey was so inspiring that I wrote two stories both inside my “literary comfort zone language” so I’ll need to summarize them.
One is a metaphor-filled story about my voyage across the seven seas, and the
other is a light, amusing piece I finished on my sailboat, based on my old days in London.
To keep my
inspiration alive, I decided to move to Johannesburg. I settled into my precious Pam’s mystical,
inspiring Che-ribi-bong-skeng villa with its amazing forest view, terrace, garden, and
artificial cave. Our walks in the forest, our conversations and touches in the cave, they all completely
captivated me. While Pam handled her work, I finished three or four writing drafts on the terrace, looking out at the banana trees.

As fate would have it, Pam and I were born on the same day. This time, instead of big parties, we decided to celebrate in our own paradise.
Inspiring, peaceful. A meal with her, a breath of joints, our calm conversation… that is the best kind of party.
Greetings to all my “333s” who sent gifts and messages. enjoy the cigar I’m sending from deep within South Africa!
