I finished my song Throw Me Away. I think this song might be a big hit!
I've been told I light up when I talk about music. That my enthusiasm for it is contagious. I don't know about that, but I do love writing songs. Taking things I've experienced, things I've felt and finding a way to capture those moments and those feelings in a song.
Mostly I write about the worst times in my life, the low moments. I find it cathartic, to help put it behind me, to let those feelings go. Being trans is not always easy. It never has been, since the moment I came out and my parents disowned me.
When I turned 16 I left home and I haven't seen or heard from them since and honestly? I'm more than happy with that, because I found my passion and I found friends that mean the world to me, that love me for who I am, unconditionally. It's sad my own parents could not extend me that same love. Well fuck you mum and dad, I've turned your hate into a hit song.
