Description: To celebrate one of the oldest and most influential subgenres of Country and Western music, the Honky Tonk Rodeo [C&W] in Porto is hosting the Hillbilly Boogie Competition.

Hillbilly boogie, as it is known now, had many names, like Country Boogie and Okie Boogie. This competition is a tribute to the greats of the past, greats like Johnny Barfield, Arthur Smith, and the Delmore Brothers, who pioneered Hillbilly Boogie and paved the way for many of today's artists.
