Note from Kaveh
Voske Lezu is a Persian restaurant in Hammersmith, founded by immigrants and managed by their English-speaking sons. The standard menu is available here.
It is a clean, well-maintained building that butts against an alley. Pale wood tables line the interior, lightened by the white walls with tiled detailing and inset arches.
Hours: 11:00 am - 12:00 am
* with a buffer window for local residents until 2:00 am.
The flat above the restaurant is comfortably appointed, furniture and art salvaged from the 'old world' creating a sort of comfortable stasis of patterns and scents. The stairs link kitchen to kitchen, the flat offering an open living and cooking space. A short hallway branches off to two bedrooms and the bath, the larger showing the most signs of life.
