Dear Gi,

Firzt of all, thank you for helping me look for your dad. Zince he is not under the couch, behind the fridge, or even in the mailbox, I like your idea to go look in the “Lozt and Found” room (aka my mom’s room). You are a geniuzzz! What if a giant mosquito has him kidnapped and is zucking all his blood? We must find him and rescue him.

Now, to the zerious stuff. Today is your BIRTHDAY! And guess what, Gi? I am SO thankful for you! Not only because you have the bezt znackz and never mind when I zpill juize on the floor, (you just spill yourz next to it so it matches), but because you are the bestezt bezt friend ever. You know all my secrets, like how I really don’t know how to do a cartwheel even though I say I do, or how we built that secret fort behind the garage that even the raccoons don’t know about!

Gi, you’re like my own zecret zuperhero. You taught me the art of the Nuclear Puppy Eyes™ that gets us extra dezsert every time, and without you, the clues to find your dad would just be… stuff. Like, I’d probably think the trail of gummy bears was just a znack and eat it. But you, you know it’s a clue! And now that my two front teeth are gone, you also help me say the words I mean when I talk to adults. Otherwise, they’d never know I was asking for “pizza” and not “fizza.”

So, on this very zpecial day, I want to say that I love you more than Triple Chocolate Fudge Delight cake and gummy bears combined. And you deserve all the hippapatamuzes in the world. Why? Because hippos are big and strong, just like our friendship. Also, they live in water, and you love swimming, so it makes sense, right? I hope one day you get a pet hippo and name it Ed, cause that’s easy to say, just as they are easy to take care.
