That was me tonight.
Middle of rolling a joint, about to play some old record and wind down, and then ping. One notification.
Unknown number. Just says:

Now, unless I’ve absolutely lost the plot, or someone’s playing the worst, most cruel prank imaginable, this shouldn’t be possible.
My mum, Mia, died when I was a little boy.

So… how does a dead woman text?
I’ve stared at the message for over an hour now. Typed replies. Deleted them. Typed again.
My hands are shaking, which is ridiculous because I’ve faced a sold out crowd at the Megadome in Rio and that didn’t make me shake. But this?
This has me spiralling.
Could it be real? Does Livi know? has she reached out to her? What about Grandma Beth? Could she have faked her death? Was she taken? Hidden? I don’t know.
The idea that she’s alive rewrites everything. Every memory, every ache, every bit of grief I’ve carried around like a weight in my chest.
I'm having a baby with Cherry in the next week or so... Does this mean our baby now has a grandmother.
